Link Building Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Link Building Manager to lead our off‑page SEO department. This remote, leadership‑focused position oversees strategy, team performance, quality control, and the development of scalable systems for multiple client accounts, including competitive niches such as iGaming.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, structure, and scale a team of freelance link builders, setting monthly targets and quality benchmarks.
• Monitor individual and team KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and implement improvement plans.
• Own and continuously improve link‑building strategy across accounts, approving high‑value link opportunities and maintaining strict anchor‑text, link‑velocity, and backlink‑profile health standards.
• Develop SOPs, refine workflows, and improve tracking and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with SEO and Content teams to align link acquisition with ranking goals.
• Track acquisition performance against targets, analyze backlink data, and provide structured reports to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a link‑building leadership role.
• Strong understanding of backlink strategy, authority metrics, anchor distribution, and risk management.
• Experience managing remote SEO teams and comfortable with performance‑driven environments.
• Excellent written English, strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and outreach tools.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion or similar systems.
