Live-In Housekeeper – Private Household, Geneva

About the role

A private household of two adults in Geneva is looking for an experienced, reliable live-in housekeeper. The home is well organized and the family wants a high standard of cleanliness and service. The household is currently supported by two housekeepers, one live-in and one live-out; the live-in housekeeper is retiring and the live-out one next year, so this is an important transition.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the home to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, including daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and deep cleaning when needed.
• Manage laundry, ironing and wardrobe care, paying attention to fabric types and garment requirements.
• Prepare daily meals for the principals when they are in Geneva or Schönried, focusing on simple, well-balanced home-cooked meals; no cooking is required when the family is in Corsica.
• Help with grocery shopping, stocking household supplies and running errands.
• Occasional travel to Schönried may be required to help manage the household.

Required profile

• Experience in private households, with a strong background in housekeeping, laundry and cooking.
• Reliable, organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to keeping the home tidy.
• Able to adapt to the family's needs while remaining professional and discreet.
• Basic French is a plus but not mandatory; English is required.
• A valid driver's license is preferred for errands and household tasks.
• Flexible with work schedules while keeping a healthy balance.
