Maintenance Planner – GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance and calibration activities across Facilities, Utilities and Equipment (FUE) in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The role ensures that both preventive and reactive maintenance is scheduled in line with production plans and resource availability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update maintenance schedules for all equipment and utilities.
• Lead weekly maintenance planning meetings with production, engineering and contractor teams.
• Coordinate resources, materials, spares and consumables for planned and unplanned work.
• Track key performance indicators and report on maintenance effectiveness.
• Escalate overdue activities and support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including Lean maintenance.
• Provide workshop support during breakdowns and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

Required profile

• HND/HNC in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Proven experience in engineering maintenance within pharmaceutical, GMP or highly regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Ability to align maintenance work with production schedules and personnel availability.
• Experience managing contractors, materials, spares and consumables.
• Fluent in German and English with excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Expert knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM).
