Manager, Accounting & Reporting

About the role

The Manager, Accounting & Reporting – Revenue leads a high‑performing team responsible for end‑to‑end revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and Alcon policies while delivering accurate revenue reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee revenue accounting activities, review contracts, and manage balance‑sheet positions such as accruals, rebates, and trade receivables.
• Lead month‑end close for revenue areas, prepare journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Maintain a SOX‑compliant control environment, document controls, and support internal and external audits.
• Partner with Local Finance, BPA, Commercial, and other stakeholders to provide financial insight and resolve data discrepancies.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and digitalisation initiatives across revenue reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Chartered Accountant or CPA/ACCA preferred.
• Extensive experience in revenue accounting, IFRS, and SOX compliance within multinational organizations or a Big‑4 audit firm.
• Proven ability to lead and develop senior associates in a collaborative, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 15) and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with SAP and reporting tools such as FCRS and APMR.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capabilities, handling large datasets.
