Manager or Senior Manager, Risk, Regulatory and Compliance

About the role

A consulting firm in Geneva is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to develop its Risk, Regulatory and Compliance services in the Romandie. You will report to the Partner responsible for the Geneva branch and advise leading financial services providers on complex financial market law issues.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on complex financial market law issues, including FINSA, AML, sanctions, corporate governance, market conduct, cross-border matters and authorization procedures.
• Carry out Risk and Compliance Gap analyses, recommend action plans and support their implementation.
• Advise clients on digitalization, cloud migration and organizational transformation, focusing on internal controls, operational risks, outsourcing requirements and data protection.
• Lead larger projects on money laundering prevention and international sanctions, owning project outcomes and budget.
• Mentor junior colleagues and help develop the regulatory expertise of the team.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Swiss law, with a specialization in Swiss regulatory and compliance (e.g. CAS in Compliance Management, LLM in Banking and Finance Law).
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in a Big Four, Swiss authority or financial institution in regulatory, risk and compliance.
• Leadership experience and willingness to grow within a specialized team.
• Strong legal and regulatory expertise, precise and technical, with an analytical approach.
• Team player who can also work independently, client centric and solution oriented; able to deliver under pressure.
• Excellent French and English; good German and Italian are a plus.
