Manager / Senior Manager – Cloud, Data & AI (CD&AI) - FinOps

About the role

PwC Switzerland is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager in its Advisory line of service, specialising in FinOps within the Cloud, Data & AI practice. You will work with clients to turn their cloud technical and financial implementations into actionable improvements, lead FinOps engagements end-to-end and grow the FinOps practice.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse clients' cloud technical and financial implementations and recommend concrete improvements
• Plan and run FinOps domains and capabilities, from early adopters to mature practices
• Identify large-scale cost savings and design cost governance models to control cloud spend
• Recommend and implement automation, tooling and DevOps best practices to speed up FinOps adoption
• Design and deliver training and workshops for IT, finance and business stakeholders
• Lead FinOps engagements with ownership of delivery quality, commercial results and client relationships, and advocate FinOps internally and in the community
• Build, coach and mentor FinOps and cloud teams, and contribute to proposals, thought leadership and business development

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience, with a proven track record in FinOps (cost optimisation, budgeting, reporting, leading FinOps transformations)
• Advanced cloud certification (e.g. Architect or Engineer) and a FinOps certification (FinOps Certified Practitioner required; FinOps Certified Professional or FOCUS a strong plus)
• University degree in business informatics, computer science, physics, mathematics or another engineering discipline preferred
• Fluent English, willingness to travel within Switzerland and occasionally internationally; German is a plus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud, preferably Azure, and deep understanding of cloud architectures, services and DevOps
• Additional experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud is a plus
• Good communication skills, including designing and facilitating FinOps workshops
