Manager - Technology Consulting, AI & Data (80-100%)

About the role

EY's Technology Consulting practice in Zurich (FSO) is looking for a manager to lead business development and solution delivery in AI and Data for the Financial Services sector. The role is full-time (80-100%) and sits within a team covering AI & Data, Cyber Security, Technology Strategy and Transformation, and Finance Platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development in AI and Data for Financial Services, including preparing client proposals and driving strategic initiatives.
• Design and deliver AI-driven solutions focused on agentic AI, intelligent automation, AI enablement, data engineering and scalable application development.
• Implement solutions that solve clients' data challenges, such as CRM, ERP, CBS, KYC and data platforms.
• Lead project teams to build robust, scalable and secure technical solutions that meet financial industry standards.
• Mentor younger colleagues, run trainings and build the team's Data & AI knowledge base.
• Work with local and international EY teams across geographies and industries.

Required profile

• Higher education in data science, computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in banking, wealth & asset management or insurance, implementing data-heavy systems such as CRM and data platforms, in-house or as a consultant.
• Proven track record of leading transformation projects and managing teams.
• Full professional proficiency in English and German; willingness to travel within Switzerland and occasionally abroad.

Required skills

• CRM (especially Microsoft Dynamics), CBS, KYC and data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP and machine learning.
• Data architecture concepts such as data lake, lakehouse, medallion architecture, ETL and streaming.
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft stack, especially Azure data and AI services, is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
