Member of Secretariat – Financial Stability Board Support

About the role

The Bank for International Settlements is seeking a Member of Secretariat to provide dedicated support to the Financial Stability Board (FSB). Working under the direction of the FSB Secretary General, you will research topics of interest, prepare discussion notes and reports, organise meetings and ensure follow‑up on decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chair and Secretary General in preparing FSB and Standing Committee meetings, including agenda setting and drafting background papers.
• Distribute meeting materials, arrange facilities, prepare press kits and ensure smooth meeting execution.
• Attend meetings, actively participate, summarise technical discussions and help achieve consensus.
• Conduct research and background analysis on assigned subjects, gather information from member organisations and draft analytical papers.
• Monitor issues examined by FSB bodies and sub‑groups, providing coordinated input to the Chair or Secretariat.
• Support regional and outreach activities, such as preparing for Regional Consultative Group meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in secretariat, administrative or research support within an international or financial institution.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with financial stability topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
