Middle Office and Logistics Specialist

About the role

Bathco Group is seeking a Middle Office and Logistics Specialist to support its trading desks for raw materials and green aluminium. The role bridges trading, logistics, finance and middle‑office functions across the full trade lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate trading, logistics, trade finance, hedging and middle‑office activities throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Negotiate rates and freight, optimise logistical flows and organise global transportation of goods.
• Collaborate closely with the trading department and other stakeholders to ensure smooth contract execution and manage warehouse stock allocation.
• Issue customer documentation, update internal sales/trading systems and develop logistics analysis and reporting tools.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of logistics and administration experience, preferably in the metal/aluminium sector.
• Strong attention to detail, service‑oriented and proactive attitude.
• Good command of English and German; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Vessel chartering and laytime calculations.
• Bulk materials/shipping and container freight knowledge.
• Shipping documentation procedures and contacts within container market/shipping lines.
• Experience with letters of credit (L/Cs) is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and general IT proficiency.
