Model Maker (Mechanic Prototype Workshop)

About the role

Join the Audi Revolut F1® Team at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland, working on the development of chassis and race operations. This fixed‑term position (6 months) involves preparing, finishing and inspecting prototype parts for wind‑tunnel testing and other motorsport applications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, finish and quality‑inspect test parts, including CNC‑milled metal components, DMLS additively manufactured metal parts, and rapid‑prototyped polymer parts.
• Perform surface finishing operations such as sanding, grinding, painting, drilling, tapping and deburring to meet specifications.
• Pre‑assemble and fit‑check components for wind‑tunnel testing.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on technical experience, preferably with rapid prototyping parts.
• Skilled in accurate use of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Independent, responsible and able to maintain high quality standards.
• Flexible and reliable, willing to work a 2‑shift schedule.
• Good English language skills; German is a plus.
