Network and Capability Manager (m/f/d) - Clinical Supply Chain

About the role

F. Hoffmann-La Roche's Clinical Distribution organization manages the supply chain for its global portfolio of more than 500 clinical studies, covering over 100,000 shipments per year across 130+ countries. The Network & Capabilities chapter oversees a network of more than 23 warehouses and depots and an annual spend of more than CHF 50 million. The Senior Network & Capabilities Manager optimizes this network so that every patient receives treatment on time, working within an agile structure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the distribution network (over 100,000 shipments per year) for Roche/Genentech clinical trials, partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Clinical Operations and 3PLs/LSPs
• Contribute to and execute the network and capabilities chapter strategy, including building new locations and strengthening supplier relationship management
• Manage and optimize distribution costs and spend (over CHF 50 million per year)
• Drive standardization and process improvement together with Business Capability Leads and QA, ensuring supply chain reliability
• Co-create objectives for the chapter and support the move toward a self-managed team
• Ensure compliance of the distribution network with GxP and GCP standards

Required profile

• Degree (BA, MS, MBA) in a technical, business or supply chain field, or relevant experience
• At least 6 years, preferably 10+, of operational experience in supply chain, distribution, planning or manufacturing, with significant clinical supply chain expertise
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, warehouse and transportation management, and regulatory requirements for clinical trials
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex issues to senior leadership

Nice to have

• Certifications such as APICS, SCOR, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma or Lean
• GxP experience
