On-Call School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse – On Call provides safe, responsive, and high‑quality nursing care within Collège du Léman. Working as part of a three‑nurse team, the role supports students' physical wellbeing and contributes to a calm, caring medical service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care to students while on duty, in line with professional standards and school policies.
• Assess health needs independently and provide appropriate care, treatment and follow‑up, including responding effectively to medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, clear and up‑to‑date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and school requirements.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection principles and professional boundaries at all times.
• Act as a liaison between the Medical Centre and the wider school community, communicating with students, parents, boarding staff and academic teams.
• Support health‑education, prevention and wellbeing initiatives within the school as required.
• Adapt to on‑call duties and seasonal peak periods, providing additional availability during summer activities and camps.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of school nurses.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, staff and leadership, handling medical information with discretion and confidentiality.
