On‑Call School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse – On Call provides safe, responsive, and high‑quality nursing care to students at Collège du Léman. Working within a team of three nurses, the role supports the physical wellbeing of a diverse international student body while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe and efficient nursing care to students during scheduled on‑call shifts.
• Assess health needs independently, provide treatment, and follow‑up, including emergency response.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in line with school and regulatory requirements.
• Uphold safeguarding and child‑protection principles at all times.
• Act as a liaison between the Medical Centre, students, parents, boarding staff, and academic teams.
• Communicate compassionately with parents regarding health concerns and required follow‑up.
• Support health‑education, prevention, and wellbeing initiatives as needed.
• Adapt to seasonal peaks and additional duties during summer camps and activities.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse with experience in pediatric or school health settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
• Flexibility to cover on‑call shifts and seasonal periods.
