Operational Excellence Workstream Project Manager

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY is looking for an Operational Excellence Workstream Project Manager (80-100%, full time, based in Zurich) to lead strategic improvement and transformation initiatives within its Scale to Potential program. The role works across functions, business units and regions, bringing together diverse stakeholders to turn strategic priorities into results, from planning through implementation and benefits realization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic operational excellence and transformation initiatives across functions and regions
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resources and roadmaps with Operational Excellence leadership and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain workstream plans, track progress and KPIs, and ensure delivery against commitments
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies, and drive timely decisions and corrective actions
• Set up governance, reporting and performance reviews, and promote standard processes, best practices and lessons learned
• Drive stakeholder engagement and change management for new processes, tools and ways of working
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and track benefits realization and business impact

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in project or program management, operational excellence, business transformation or continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects, ideally in a global organization
• Strong stakeholder and change management skills in a matrix organization
• Excellent English communication skills
