Operations & Visual Manager - Gstaad

About the role

ALO, a yoga studio, is looking for an Operations & Visual Manager in Gstaad, Switzerland. The role is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for turning the operational and visual strategy into reality. It focuses on inventory management, labour planning and scheduling, and visual execution, with the goal of keeping the store customer-ready at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support the execution of key operational and visual processes, and investigate inventory accuracy issues, escalating process or system gaps with the General Manager
• Champion strong visual standards on the sales floor using business performance data, and support sell-through by coordinating accurate inventory counts and labour hours for product deliveries
• Represent the business in meetings and conference calls, and help manage the budget, reporting and metrics such as expenses and sell-through, informing quarterly reviews and sales planning
• Lead the Operations and Visual team through accountability, regular coaching, talent development and communication, and build internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment
• Write schedules in partnership with the General Manager, and oversee delivery of the ALO Sales and Service Model while collaborating across functions

Required profile

• 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
• Mid-senior level position
• Right to live and work in the country from the start of employment
• Full-time role, 40 hours per week (5 days); availability for opening, closing and weekend shifts is expected

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment and to drive business in a fast-paced setting
