Sales & Service Manager - Gstaad

About the role

ALO is looking for a Sales & Service Manager for its Gstaad store. As a member of the store leadership team, the person sets the business and guest experience strategy, drives sales targets and ensures an exceptional guest experience on the floor. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and root cause sales opportunities and escalate process or system gaps with the General Manager
• Oversee the Sales & Service team, assess guest connection and product knowledge, and coach team members to close gaps
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce solutions and selling initiatives
• Build the store's Sales & Service strategy with the General Manager and implement it with the team
• Represent the business in meetings and calls, and help manage the budget, reporting and key metrics such as expenses and sell-through
• Lead the team through accountability, regular coaching and talent development, and build internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment
• Create schedules that prioritize business needs, and oversee the execution of the Sales and Service model while collaborating across functions

Required profile

• Prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry
• Business owner mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and independent work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and move for a full shift, and climb ladders safely
• Right to live and work in the country from the start of employment
• Availability for opening, closing and weekend shifts, including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Agility in handling multiple tasks in a changing environment
