Partner – Business Law (Swiss)

About the role

Our client, an international business law firm with over 500 lawyers worldwide, is expanding its Swiss presence. They are seeking experienced Swiss‑based Partners (70‑100% time) to join the team in Geneva and help shape the firm’s growth in Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support companies of all sizes on Swiss business law, covering sectors such as Financial Services, Life Sciences, General Industries and Digital Assets.
• Prepare legal clarifications, statements, and documentation for start‑ups, financing, transactions, restructurings, reorganisations and liquidations.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, submissions and other legally relevant documents.
• Represent clients before courts, arbitration tribunals and administrative authorities.
• Train, guide and manage junior colleagues and trainee lawyers.
• Maintain existing client relationships and acquire new domestic and foreign clients.
• Expand the firm’s Swiss market presence and monitor legislative and case‑law developments.
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues worldwide, supervise correspondent lawyers and liaise with authorities and industry associations.
• Publish specialist articles, deliver lectures and conduct internal training courses.

Required profile

• Law degree from a continental European university (MLaw or lic. iur.) with a Swiss bar admission or equivalent permit.
• Several years of Swiss professional experience in a business law firm or in‑house, preferably in Corporate, Commercial, IP/IT, Tax, Competition, Litigation or Arbitration.
• Fluency in English and good knowledge of French; additional European languages (e.g., German) are a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills and an existing client base are strong advantages.
• Ability to work independently or in a team on national and international mandates, manage high workloads and handle demanding clients.
