HR Generalist – Swiss HRM & Payroll (60–80%)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on HR Generalist / HR Business Partner to join our decentralized HR team in Lugano. The role focuses on Swiss HR administration, payroll processes, social insurance and HR controlling while providing advisory support to employees and team leads.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee life‑cycle from onboarding to off‑boarding, including HR administration.
• Independently run the complete payroll process for the Lugano location, handling monthly payroll, withholding taxes, social insurance and related expenses.
• Advise and support employees and team leads on a wide range of HR‑related matters.
• Support HR controlling through accurate data preparation, analysis, reporting and regular checks.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting team to ensure smooth transition from recruitment to onboarding.
• Contribute to HR roadmap implementation, projects and process optimisation.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer on HR processes and tools.

Required profile

• Completed Swiss HR qualification (e.g., HR Assistant or HR Specialist – Federal Diploma).
• Excellent Italian, fluent English and good German.
• Several years of hands‑on experience in Swiss HR administration and payroll, with solid knowledge of Swiss employment law and social insurance.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work accurately with numbers and reports.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Knowledge of the Abacus ERP system (advantageous).
