Performance Excellence Delivery Lead

About the role

Roche is looking for a hands-on Operational Excellence expert to lead breakthrough performance improvements and build long-term capabilities. The Performance Excellence Delivery Lead works with site teams and functions, combining traditional Lean principles with digital solutions through a five-step Breakthrough Methodology (Preparation, Diagnose, Design, Implement, Sustain). The goal is step-change improvement in quality, efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structured breakthrough initiatives that deliver step-change improvements in operational quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Performance Excellence initiatives across scoping, preparation, diagnose, design, build and deploy, and sustain.
• Guide cross-functional teams to solve complex operational challenges and establish tracked performance indicators.
• Apply Operational Excellence, Lean, Digital, AI and Data to eliminate waste and optimize processes.
• Coach project teams in Lean and OE tools and partner with site functions and senior leadership on buy-in and change.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (required) or advanced degree (Master's/PhD preferred) in a technical, engineering or business field.
• Minimum 8 years of operational excellence experience with a Bachelor's, or 6+ years with an advanced degree.
• Hands-on experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing or related process industries.
• Proven expertise in leading structured OE and Lean methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior leadership.
