Performance Testing Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

The Performance Testing Engineer will join the Performance Testing & Diagnostics team within the Gas Power Performance Engineering organization. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and analysing thermal performance tests on gas, steam, or combined‑cycle power plant equipment worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow thermal performance test procedures in line with commercial guarantees and contractual requirements.
• Plan, install, and commission instrumentation for field data collection.
• Execute performance tests on plant equipment, analyse data, calculate results and diagnose issues.
• Prepare detailed test reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify safety events, quality non‑conformances and contribute to corrective actions.
• Maintain project documentation and status updates, especially during travel.
• Communicate with internal and external parties to coordinate schedules and resolve technical matters.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of thermal performance testing concepts and power plant equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and travel up to 50% of the time.
• Commitment to company policies, safety standards and quality initiatives.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
