PR & Communications Specialist – Swiss Market

About the role

A recruitment agency is hiring, on behalf of one of its clients, a PR and Communications Specialist to develop and run communication, media relations and brand visibility initiatives across the Swiss market. The role covers media relations, events, content, influencer work, performance monitoring and agency management.

Key responsibilities

• Media relations: implement corporate communication strategies locally, build relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, content creators and influencers, and manage media inquiries and press activities
• Events and PR: organize press events, product launches and media briefings, support media participation at international events, and represent the company at trade shows, conferences and corporate functions
• Content and communications: adapt global plans to local needs, draft press releases, media kits, key messages, speeches and other materials, and support event and campaign content
• Influencer and digital: support influencer engagement strategies, manage relationships with influencers and content creators, and contribute to digital and social media activities
• Performance and budget: track PR metrics, report regularly, analyze results and recommend improvements, and monitor PR and media budgets
• Agency management: coordinate external agencies and service providers so projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with business objectives

Required profile

• Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations or a related field
• Established network in the Swiss media landscape and good understanding of the local communications environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills in German, French and English
• Willingness to travel frequently, mainly within Europe
