PR & Social Media Project Leader – Swiss Market (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a PR & Social Media Project Leader to develop and implement local PR, influencer and social media activities that align with Swatch’s global communication objectives. The role will strengthen Swatch’s visibility and cultural relevance across the Swiss market.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media partners, influencers and content creators.
• Act as the primary media contact for the market, handling inquiries, interview requests, product loans and press relations.
• Identify storytelling opportunities and generate earned media coverage around product launches, collaborations, events and brand initiatives.
• Manage influencer partnerships from identification and briefing through execution and performance reporting.
• Create, adapt and coordinate engaging content for local social media channels in line with global brand guidelines.
• Plan and execute media events and influencer activations.
• Monitor media, consumer and social media trends, translating insights into communication opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners and international teams to ensure consistent communications.
• Manage the assigned budget and report on business impact/ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in PR or external communications, preferably in an agency environment or consumer brands.
• Successful track record in pitching and placing stories with top‑tier media.
• Extensive network within the Swiss media and influencer landscape.
• Strong networking mindset and ability to build authentic relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple projects with quick turn‑arounds.
• Excellent attention to detail, organized and team‑oriented.
• Native German speaker (Swiss German preferred) with excellent writing skills; fluent French and good English; Italian is a plus.
