Principal Data & AI Consultant

About the role

As a Principal Data & AI Consultant you will ensure that data and AI projects deliver the expected impact, from pre‑sales and development through delivery and ongoing relationship management as a trusted advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Help clients achieve data & AI ambitions, including strategy, transformation roadmaps and bespoke AI solution development.
• Structure complex consulting engagements, steer delivery, ensure quality of deliverables and manage customer expectations.
• Facilitate collaboration between interdisciplinary delivery teams (data scientists, engineers, architects, developers) and business stakeholders at all seniority levels.
• Support Zühlke’s growth by contributing to sales pipelines, preparing proposals and acting as a thought‑leader through publications and speaking engagements.
• Develop reusable assets such as consulting packages, templates and demonstrators to improve team effectiveness.

Required profile

• University degree in business or STEM from a leading institution.
• 8+ years of hybrid consulting and Data & AI experience, with strong consulting foundations (communication, project management, workshop facilitation, selling).
• Experience in regulated verticals such as banking, insurance, life sciences or manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Assertive, proactive, customer‑centric and results‑oriented.

Required skills

• Expertise in data and/or AI strategy, governance and management.
• Hands‑on experience delivering Data & AI projects from idea to production.
• Ability to inspire, build and lead interdisciplinary teams.
