Programme Management and Outreach Intern

About the role

The Programme Management and Outreach Intern will support the Beyond Lab within the Office of the Director‑General at UNOG. Working under the Chief of Beyond Lab, the intern will contribute to research, project management, communications and multi‑stakeholder collaboration aimed at advancing sustainable development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging sustainable development concepts and synthesize findings into briefing materials, reports and talking points.
• Assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of pilot projects, including organizing workshops, events and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop promotional content for the Lab’s website and social media channels, and create visual assets using design tools.
• Participate in partnership‑building activities with governments, UN agencies, civil society and private sector representatives.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in international development, sustainability, engineering or related fields.
• Strong interest in policy analysis, social innovation and sustainable development.
• Ability to work under supervision, manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Canva (or similar graphic design tool) for creating visual content.
