Psychosocial Support Intern

About the role

The Psychosocial Support Intern will join the Operational Support Section of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM) in Geneva. Working under the Witness Support Officer, the intern will help strengthen psychosocial services for staff and contribute to the Mechanism’s well‑being initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in launching and interpreting the Annual Well‑being and Employee Engagement Survey.
• Provide support to the IIIM Workgroup on well‑being and employee engagement.
• Research best practices for psychosocial support to staff.
• Support finalisation of the Psychological Preparedness for Deployment Manual.
• Draft a vicarious trauma prevention guide.
• Design materials for the Support to Staff online page.
• Draft accurate meeting minutes for various meetings.
• Prepare and deliver a presentation on staff support.
• Analyse survey data and produce a statistical report.
• Write an article and assist in populating the online support page.

Required profile

• Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by the IIIM (e.g., relevant academic background).
