Quality Control Technician - Space Systems

About the role

SWISSto12 is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) of spacecraft hardware and systems. You will work in cleanroom environments to ensure that every component meets the rigorous standards required for successful satellite missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections of structures, avionics, harnesses, and propulsion systems during all AIT phases.
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and multimeters to verify dimensional and functional compliance.
• Interpret GD&T drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Document findings in quality management systems and digital inspection checklists.
• Report non‑conformances and manage corrective actions using tools like Windchill or SAP.
• Maintain contamination control in ISO 7/8 cleanrooms.

Required profile

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or space sector, preferably with satellite or launch vehicle programs.
• Deep knowledge of aerospace quality standards (ECSS, NASA‑STD, ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Hands‑on experience with space environmental testing (vibration, thermal‑vacuum).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams.
