Remote Social Media Manager (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a creative Social Media Manager to shape the public identity of a fast‑growing sustainability startup launching smart water refill stations across Sri Lanka. This part‑time, remote contract role is ideal for a storyteller passionate about environmental impact and eager to document a mission‑driven journey.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Facebook.
• Create, schedule and publish engaging visual and written content that highlights the company’s mission, milestones and impact.
• Document the startup’s growth through photo, video and copy storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with the founder to ensure brand consistency and authenticity.
• Monitor trends, audience engagement and analytics to optimise content and strategy.
• Report on key performance metrics and adjust tactics as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands, startups or organisations.
• Strong content creation abilities, including copywriting, photography and video editing.
• Creative mindset with a genuine passion for sustainability, travel and storytelling.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Sri Lankan hospitality or travel sector is a plus.
• Availability for a part‑time, contract‑based role.
