Russian Language Teacher

About the role

The United Nations Office at Geneva is seeking a qualified Russian Language Teacher to join its Language Training Programme within the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism. The incumbent will support staff, diplomats and mission personnel in developing Russian language proficiency across all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Russian as a foreign language to beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, covering all language skills.
• Design, prepare and deliver in‑person, blended and online courses, including specialized modules such as UN‑specific writing.
• Assess learner work, maintain attendance and grading records, and provide individualized feedback.
• Develop curricula, teaching materials and assessments aligned with programme objectives.
• Prepare, administer and mark language examinations and tests.
• Recruit and coordinate individual contractor Russian teachers, establishing evaluation tools and processes.
• Collaborate with other language programmes on joint projects and staff‑development activities.
