Sailor – Deck Crew on Premium River Vessels

About the role

Join A-ROSA’s fleet of premium river vessels as a Sailor, ensuring safe and smooth operations during bridge watches, mooring, and guest services across Europe’s most beautiful waterways.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct bridge and gangway watches, monitor mooring stations and assist with ship mooring and casting off.
• Maintain and clean the vessel, handle ropes, operate mooring equipment, and support waste disposal and luggage services during embarkation and disembarkation.
• Participate in safety drills and perform nautical and technical tasks on deck as directed by the boatswain.

Required profile

• Completed seaman training with a valid Seaman's Certificate and logbook; minimum age 18.
• Good German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience on the Rhine and Danube is preferred, along with high resilience and team spirit.

Required skills

• Rope handling and mooring equipment operation.
• Breathing apparatus carrier training (FSV certified).
• Basic deck maintenance and cleaning procedures.
