Ocean Manager

About the role

Expeditors International is seeking a motivated and experienced Ocean Manager to join its team in Kloten, Zurich or Morbio Inferiore. The role focuses on leading the ocean freight department, ensuring compliance, productivity and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with assigned accounts through proactive communication.
• Prepare, execute, monitor and regularly update the business plan for the ocean department.
• Ensure compliance and quality for the ocean product and meet productivity and profitability goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and communicate policies and regulations to the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder.
• Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language, with fluency in German.
• Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.

Required skills

• Fluency in German
