Secondary French A & B Teacher

About the role

La Côte International School is seeking a dynamic Secondary French A & B Teacher to join its vibrant, multicultural community. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality French language instruction to lower secondary, IGCSE and IB Diploma students in an English‑language based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French A and B across the secondary curriculum, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Design, develop, implement and review French curricula for lower secondary, IGCSE and IBDP levels.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders to select resources and manage classroom materials efficiently.
• Promote health and safety standards within assigned classes.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to trips, excursions, field trips and extracurricular activities.
• Support the French department’s reputation through publications, competitions and community relations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French with QTS status or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Native French speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload and inspire mixed‑culture classes.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude toward pastoral care.
• Clear criminal record extracts and a valid work permit are assets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with classroom technology for administration and teaching.
