Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our client’s Information Security team in Switzerland. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining robust security architectures across network, cloud and Microsoft environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance network security technologies, including firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Implement and optimise Microsoft security solutions such as Defender XDR, Purview (DLP), Sentinel, Intune and Microsoft 365 security capabilities.
• Lead vulnerability management activities, including security assessments, coordination of penetration testing, remediation tracking and system hardening.
• Support risk assessments and technical due‑diligence activities.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, System Engineering and Risk Management teams to strengthen enterprise‑wide security practices.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of security controls, policies and hardening standards.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and help evolve security services and capabilities.
• Participate in diverse security projects, taking ownership of strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in network security, firewall technologies and web application security.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft security technologies and modern cloud security environments.
• Fluent German and English (C1/C2 level).
