Security Engineer (Remote, Switzerland)

About the role

We are seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen the security, reliability, and trust of a widely used SaaS platform serving millions of users worldwide. The role is fully remote, based in Switzerland, and works within a product‑driven engineering environment to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement security features, safeguards, and internal tooling.
• Integrate security best practices from design through deployment.
• Lead security initiatives from concept to production‑ready delivery.
• Improve the organization’s overall security posture to meet enterprise‑grade expectations and compliance.
• Identify, investigate, and mitigate abusive or harmful activity.
• Define, promote, and continuously improve internal security standards and policies.
• Mentor engineering teams on secure development practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar application/infrastructure security role.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices and modern security principles.
• Experience designing and implementing security controls, tools, and automation in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of application security, infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, international, fast‑paced environment.
