Senior Account Manager – Chemical Sales

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Chemical Sales Specialist to manage the Laboratory Chemicals Division portfolio in Switzerland. The role combines field work and home‑based activities, requiring extensive travel (approximately 70%) and direct customer interaction (about 85% of the time).

Key responsibilities

• Represent the LCD brand portfolio to customers and channel partners.
• Develop and grow existing accounts while ensuring market penetration and profitability.
• Achieve sales and profit forecasts through consultative and strategic selling.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing training and knowledge sharing with less‑experienced team members.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Customer Service) to deliver solutions.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet assigned targets.

Required profile

• Strong market knowledge of analytical reagents and research‑discovery chemicals.
• Proven experience in chemical sales or related technical sales roles.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Switzerland, including overnight stays.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with channel partners.
• Results‑driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
