Senior Account Manager Public Sector – Switzerland

About the role

AWS is looking for a Senior Account Manager to drive the growth of its cloud offering in the Swiss public sector. The role targets C-level and IT leaders and public sector organisations, combining public sector knowledge with technical understanding. The successful candidate will develop and execute a territory coverage plan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with public sector executives
• Understand the technical and business requirements of core public sector clients and position AWS as the preferred cloud platform
• Drive the adoption of AWS services and solutions to meet public sector needs
• Work with sales, solutions architecture and professional services teams to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Collaborate with the Partner team to build a robust AWS ecosystem supporting customers' priorities
• Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services

Required profile

• Proven experience handling large public sector projects
• 10 years in a sales account position
• Fluent German and English
• Cloud experience
• Preferred: university degree, experience in large multinational corporations, strong sales track record in customer acquisition and a strong customer network
