About the role
As a Senior Android Engineer you will join TWINT’s international, multicultural development team to shape the future of digital payment solutions. You will own the Android platform from conception through production, delivering scalable and maintainable features that power mobile payments across Switzerland.
Key responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of features from design, implementation, testing, release, to production support.
- Design pragmatic, scalable Android solutions and influence architectural decisions.
- Participate in technical discussions, balancing product needs, security, reliability and quality.
- Mentor teammates through pair‑programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Analyze complex incidents, provide L3 support and handle production incidents.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
- Advance testing strategy with automated UI and integration tests.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Android platform.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a focus on software engineering.
- Several years of professional experience in mobile app development within complex business environments.
- Hands‑on expertise in modern Android development and ownership of challenging technical problems.
- Strong experience in UI test automation.
- Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications and generated API clients.
- Deep understanding of Gradle, Android build systems, dependency management and modularisation.
- Passion for the Android ecosystem and keeping up with current trends and tooling.
- Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken.
