Senior Associate Global Safety – Local Safety Switzerland

About the role

Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate Global Safety to support local pharmacovigilance activities in Switzerland. The role ensures compliance with Swiss legislation and provides safety expertise to the local business and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support Swiss pharmacovigilance activities, including adverse event collection, processing, distribution and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain compliance with Swiss safety regulations and Amgen SOPs, and keep local safety requirements up to date.
• Handle adverse event information, literature reviews, urgent safety communications and risk‑minimisation activities.
• Assist with training on adverse event reporting for local staff and partners.
• Support inspection readiness, internal audits and alignment with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Legal and Market Access functions.

Required profile

• University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in pharmacovigilance, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biotech affiliate.
• Practical knowledge of Swiss PV requirements for post‑marketing and clinical trials.
• Strong organizational, stakeholder‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German; French or Italian is a plus.
