Senior Backend / Full-Stack Engineer, AI Platform

About the role

Uthereal is building the AI infrastructure that lets knowledge owners turn expertise into queryable, learnable systems. As a Senior Backend / Full-Stack Engineer you will own the production systems that power expert AI, focusing on cloud‑native services, distributed workflows, and data‑intensive back‑ends.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate cloud‑native services on AWS that support AI workloads at scale.
• Build and maintain distributed processing pipelines, ETL orchestration, and async job processing.
• Develop robust, secure, observable, and cost‑aware backend architecture.
• Lead technical execution, shape architectural decisions, and mentor the engineering team.
• Plan capacity, manage autoscaling, and optimize cost for containerized workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in fast‑moving product or startup environments.
• Strong full‑stack background with deep expertise in backend and infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating systems on AWS.
• Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and critical thinking.
