Senior Business Analyst – FX/PM Platform Transformation

About the role

Julius Baer's Global Products & Solutions (GPS) Platform & Services team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong global Foreign Exchange (FX) and Precious Metals (PM) background. The role sits within the GPS Platform Transformation, which drives innovation across the GPS platform to deliver value at optimal cost while keeping platform health, performance and reliability high. It reports to the Head of Sales Platform and covers Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Options, ACDC and TARF/TARN.

The contract runs for 12 months with an immediate start and possible extension, paid through an external payroll partner.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements with cross-functional stakeholders, review processes for gaps and risks, and turn needs into requirement documents, user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria and decision logs
• Maintain requirements traceability, manage controlled change and support architecture, product owners and developers
• Analyse FX and PM workflows (onboarding, pricing, quoting, execution, risk management, post-trade) and produce solution documents and implementation blueprints
• Support enhancements to eFX platforms (client onboarding, price composition, RFQ workflows, client reporting) with FX Institutional Sales, Trading and Technology teams
• Ensure requirements reflect product conventions such as currency pairs, value dates, settlement methods and delivery types
• Identify capability gaps, duplicated activities and control weaknesses in existing applications and interfaces
• Meet legal, regulatory and compliance standards, including user manuals, market conduct codes and conflict-of-interest management

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering and application support
• Profound knowledge of FX and PM products, including support for Sales, Relationship Managers, Traders, Operations and End Clients
• Understanding of Private Banking products, client lifecycle, pricing, reporting and regulatory requirements
• Proven experience supporting FX Institutional Sales processes (onboarding, pricing, quotes, suitability controls, client reporting)
• Knowledge of OTC derivatives and multi-leg option strategies is an advantage
• Ability to communicate clearly, influence without authority and work independently in a global team
