Senior Business Project Manager (Hybrid, 80-100%)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Senior Business Project Manager (hybrid, 80-100%) for its Client Data Management team within Life & Health Reinsurance in Zurich. You will work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across all regions to shape and deliver the global client data agenda, moving from strategic framing through execution, change adoption and benefits realization. The current focus is on scaling client data capabilities to support data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into project scope, milestones, delivery plans and measurable outcomes, with overall delivery oversight across workstreams and regions.
• Plan and prioritise delivery, including resource and capacity requirements.
• Mobilise and coordinate business and technology delivery across the Life & Health value chain, managing dependencies, risks and issues.
• Partner with project sponsors and functional leaders, and give concise, decision-ready reporting on progress, risks and trade-offs.
• Drive changes to client data processes, governance, accountabilities and ways of working.
• Work with regional leaders on capacity and capability needs, support resource and funding requests, and manage project financials.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience leading projects and change initiatives, preferably in (re)insurance.
• End-to-end project management experience across business and technology, including planning, governance, risk and dependency management, resource planning and financial management.
• Ability to turn strategic direction into execution, even when the path forward is not fully defined.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions, regions and seniority levels.
• Experience delivering data and business transformation, including organisational and operating model design and implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience in Life & Health (re)insurance.
• Experience with client data or data-driven business initiatives.
• Project and change management certifications such as PMP, PROSCI or Scrum.

What we offer

• Base salary range of CHF 126,000 to CHF 188,000 for a full-time role in Switzerland, depending on profile and requirements.
