Senior Consultant - AI & Data (Data Management & Data Platforms)

About the role

Deloitte AI & Data is hiring a Senior Consultant in Basel, Geneva or Zurich, working 80-100% of the time. The team helps clients turn data, analytics, modern platforms and data science & AI into better, human-centric solutions. This role focuses on data management and data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement modern data solutions in data management (data quality, master and reference data, catalogues, data platforms) that deliver high-quality, usable data.
• Develop data strategies that support clients' business objectives across regulatory, cost and revenue pillars.
• Design complex data and analytics transformations, giving architectural, technical and organisational guidance.
• Drive data and AI use cases from business concept to production.
• Build trusted client relationships through project work or business development and support business development to generate new projects.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and act as a role model.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant practical experience and technical knowledge of data topics gained in a consultancy, tech company or industry.
• Fluent English; fluency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage several activities in a fast-paced environment and deliver independently.
• Strong conceptual ability and the ability to act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions.

Required skills

• Data management: 2+ projects implementing master data management, data quality, reference data or catalogue solutions, with hands-on experience from vendor selection to operation, using tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Azure or GCP.
• Or cloud-based data platforms: 2+ projects implementing data lakehouses, with hands-on experience using Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake or Databricks, and knowledge of common development methodologies and data architecture documentation.
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills for presenting solutions.
