Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Technology Consulting

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join its Technology Consulting practice. You will work with banks and insurance companies, helping them navigate complex security challenges and strengthen their overall cyber posture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cybersecurity consulting, information‑security and risk assessments for financial‑services clients.
• Lead projects on cloud security, blockchain, DevOps, penetration testing and security architecture.
• Provide IT risk assurance, focusing on internal controls, risk and compliance management.
• Support interdisciplinary teams in evaluating and improving clients' cybersecurity effectiveness and maturity.
• Help clients understand the cyber‑threat landscape and develop robust security strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business IT, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2‑3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security or technical IT security assessments.
• Strong knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Passion for consulting and deep expertise in at least one security domain (e.g., security architecture, data protection, network security, IAM).
• Fluent in English and German; prior experience in the financial‑services sector is a plus.
