Senior Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

Avaloq is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join its global Cyber Security Operations Center. You will work with a talented team to improve and operate the centre, focusing on threat identification, analysis, and response for a worldwide financial‑technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily security incidents and threats, correlating alerts and implementing monitoring use cases.
• Recommend and drive cyber‑security enhancements, managing relationships with security service providers.
• Participate in security projects, develop processes, and create documentation for the SOC.
• Provide implementations and recommendations to protect against and resolve incidents.
• Support major cyber‑security incidents and take part in on‑call rotation.
• Act as a technical lead, guiding initiatives and projects within the team.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in a SOC, CDC or similar security operations role.
• Proven ability to create playbooks and tune SIEM use cases.
• Strong understanding of all cyber‑security domains and a structured, innovative approach.
• Experience working in an international, fast‑growing environment.
