Senior Data Migration & Technology Transformation SME

About the role

Next-Link is looking for a senior Data Migration / Technology Transformation specialist with pharmaceutical or life-sciences experience to provide independent advisory support on legacy-system migration, data quality, technology dependencies, validation and reconciliation. The consultant will assess the migration approach and identify key risks and dependencies affecting the Freeway Release 4 programme.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess the legacy-system data migration approach and review data assessment, mapping, cleansing and transformation activities.
• Assess data validation and reconciliation considerations and identify significant data-quality and migration risks, recommending mitigations.
• Assess dependencies between data migration, configuration, MDM, integrations, testing, validation and business readiness, and identify critical technology dependencies and decision points.
• Assess legacy-system transformation risks, support integrated planning and RAID assessments, and give input into release-readiness and cutover assessments.
• Produce clear assessment reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders and work across Business, IT, system integrators and technology partners.

Required profile

• Significant experience in large-scale enterprise data migration and legacy-system transformation.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GxP environments and pharmaceutical technology quality requirements.
• Ability to identify cross-functional technology dependencies and produce risk assessments and executive-level recommendations.
• Must be able to attend Basel during agreed critical phases; ideal background is a Senior Data Migration Lead, Data Transformation SME, Technology Transformation Consultant or Data Migration Architect.

• Desirable: Veeva Vault RIM migration, regulatory technology transformation, Freeway or comparable regulatory-platform transformation, and previous Novartis experience.
