Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d)

About the role

Sonova, a leading hearing care provider headquartered in Switzerland, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to develop data-driven models based on large-scale real-world data. The role focuses on usage analytics to generate insights and contribute to new functionalities, within an interdisciplinary R&D environment working with engineers, researchers and product teams in an agile setup.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve data-driven models based on large datasets
• Analyze and evaluate real-world evidence data to generate insights
• Apply machine learning and statistical methods to health-related data
• Contribute to data creation, validation and feature engineering
• Support the development and maintenance of data catalogues
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary agile R&D teams
• Stay up to date with the latest research, tools and methodologies

Required profile

• 4-5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, computer science, statistics, engineering or a related field; PhD preferred
• Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and explain complex analyses clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent English; knowledge of audiology or health sciences is a plus

• Solid programming skills in Python
• Solid background in machine learning, statistics and data analysis
