Senior Director, Product Portfolio Strategy – Oncology

About the role

This senior leadership position reports to the VP Early Commercial Strategy, Oncology and works across global R&D and commercial teams. The role shapes GSK’s oncology portfolio, guiding early‑stage assets and external business‑development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize early‑stage oncology assets for future commercial success and provide commercial input to R&D.
• Lead the Early Asset Strategy Team (EAST) and influence early investment decisions.
• Deliver integrated early‑stage asset plans and develop oncology disease‑area teams.
• Synthesize data into a single source of truth for priority tumor maps and support asset prioritisation.
• Evaluate external business‑development opportunities and build business cases.
• Break down silos across functions to increase portfolio value and support integration of successful deals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or business.
• 10+ years of experience in early commercial, marketing, business development, analytics, forecasting, pricing, market access or portfolio analytics.
• 5+ years working in oncology across solid tumours and haematological cancers.
• Preferred: Ph.D. or MBA and proven leadership of cross‑functional matrix teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
