Senior Finance Director - Technology FP&A Business Partner

About the role

This senior finance position partners directly with the CIO of a leading blue‑chip company, shaping technology investment, scaling operations and delivering financial impact across the global technology organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance business partner to the CIO and senior technology leadership.
• Own technology spend strategy, governing software, telecom and IT budgets and forecasts.
• Drive investment decisions through business cases, ROI models and capital planning.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for the technology function.
• Provide financial input to vendor negotiations and cost modelling.
• Lead M&A due diligence, integration modelling and synergy tracking.
• Build and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Champion finance transformation through automation, analytics and systems improvements.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification with extensive senior finance experience in a large, global business.
• Experience in technology and capital planning is highly desirable.
• Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of building business development and investment plans.
• Strong people leader capable of guiding and motivating global, cross‑functional teams.
• Tenacious, organised and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
