Senior Manager MedTech Tax Planning

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager to lead MedTech tax planning and execution across strategic projects. The role will integrate tax requirements into project design, ensure compliance, and deliver tax‑efficient outcomes in a global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic tax projects through implementation and stabilization, managing workplans, milestones, risks and deliverables.
• Coordinate tax diligence, modeling, approvals and implementation across internal stakeholders, subject‑matter experts and external advisors.
• Assess direct, indirect, international, legal‑entity and operational tax implications and develop practical planning strategies.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on projects.
• Partner with Tax Compliance, Reporting, Finance, Legal and control owners to establish governance and ensure required tax positions, elections and registrations are in place before go‑live.
• Document tax conclusions, approvals and implementation decisions to support compliance and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation or related field; advanced degree or professional credential (CPA, JD) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive corporate tax, tax planning, advisory or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross‑functional projects independently while managing competing priorities and risks.
• Excellent analytical, communication and business‑partnering skills.
