Senior Finance Manager – Currency Management

About the role

The Senior Finance Manager will lead the Currency Management team within DePuy Synthes, overseeing foreign currency exposure, hedging, accounting and analytics during the company’s separation and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a global team of three finance professionals.
• Identify and manage foreign currency exposures, centralised forecasting and balance‑sheet hedging, and place hedges with a third‑party provider.
• Ensure hedge and inventory accounting complies with US GAAP and internal procedures.
• Analyse and report actual and forecast transactional currency impacts across P&L lines, providing insights and recommendations.
• Design, build, test and deploy a replacement tool for currency calculations, hedging, analytics and reporting, and maintain it.
• Drive process standardisation and automation using Power BI and Alteryx.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance; Master’s/MBA or ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of finance, accounting or related experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with a track record of developing talent.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a high‑visibility, global, matrix environment.
