Senior Finance Manager – Head of Finance (Geneva)

About the role

This senior position combines finance, operations, treasury and risk oversight for a well‑established private banking institution regulated by FINMA. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role is hands‑on, leading a small team while acting at a C‑suite level within a dynamic, close‑knit environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting, treasury and back‑office activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and manage operational, financial and compliance risks, including asset‑management and investment‑related matters.
• Review monthly financial statements and guarantee timely legal and FINMA reporting.
• Implement, improve and adapt internal procedures and controls, following up on audit recommendations.
• Support HR‑related processes such as payroll, social security and insurance administration.
• Participate in internal committees and coordinate ad‑hoc projects requested by senior management.
• Prepare Board documentation and reporting in close coordination with the CEO.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance and Swiss banking risk management, including FINMA reporting.
• Previous experience as CFO, Head of Finance or in a senior finance role within banking.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and work closely with senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Geneva.
